Did you ever read that book If You Give Mouse a Cookie when you were a kid? I did, I used to love it! If you gave a mouse a cookie, he wanted a glass of milk. By the end of the book you realized he was just a needy bastard, but you keep reading because damnit, he was cute! Lunch Ladies

Today’s review is a little different than my normal ones. Not only is the film a short (only 19 minutes long) but also, it’s not currently available for everyone to watch. Lunch Ladies just premiered at the HollyShorts Film Festival and I couldn’t be happier to be one of the first to get the chance to watch it! Clarissa Jacobson wrote two wonderfully twisted main characters that were brought to life by Donna Pieroni (Seretta) and Mary Manofsky (LouAnne). The short was directed by J.M. Dahlia used to love having people over for dinner. Her dated apartment was so small but everyone always felt so comfortable there, like family home for the holidays. She used to have all her friends over and after dinner they would pile onto and around the old brown love seat she found on the side of the road and watch movies. It was something that warmed her heart. Things are different now. All she did was change her diet and just like that they were all gone.

Air

I hated running. In school, I always walked the mile and I would laugh at those who would run. I just thought, “Morons, what does running teach you?” But, I should’ve run. And I should’ve learned how to breath while running. Now, I’m forced to run and dammit, I can’t breathe! It’s like the earth no longer has air to give me. It just ran out of air. Is that even possible? My feet are slamming onto the wet road so hard that it’s causing pain that feels like lightning bolts to shoot up my legs. At this point I’m just on autopilot. I can’t stop. If I stop, he’ll catch me.
