Number 6 on the Countdown to Halloween

The Gallows

Movie Review by Siobahn Harris

With Halloween creeping closer and closer, I really want to bring fear to the table. You all know how much I love anything with the Blumhouse stamp, and The Gallows was no different. I could already tell from the trailer that I was going to love this movie, but I had no idea how much that would be.

You know what I’m talking about, right? The kind of film that ends with there being no villain, just the protagonist’s inner demons. Thankfully, I was so incredibly wrong. Between the Darkness was such a beautifully dark and mysteriously creepy coming-of-age story.
